Foster Construction of South Florida, Inc based in Miami, Florida will serve as a Construction Managment Partner in the Mentor Protege Program with Turner Construction for this project. Foster Construction is an African American Woman-Owned general contracting firm specializing in  commercial construction of office buildings, restaurants, medical facilities, airports, military installations, jails, parks, and schools.  Foster Construction was founded in 1997 by Dexter B. Foster and originally known as “Foster the Do it All Handyman.”  After many years of success the company began to focus on commercial construction and subsequently changed it’s name to Foster Construction of South Florida, Inc. 

The company builds, renovates, and restores for a wide range of facilities and for clients such as the General Services Administration as well as private commercial establishments in the Sunshine State.  Some notable projects completed by Foster Construction include the preservation for the historical Bahamian House in South Dade, renovation of Greynolds Park, as well as two of the largest jail systems in Miami, Metro West Detention Center and the Turner Gilford Knight Correctional Center.  Significantly, the company has also completed construction of a Burger King restaurant in Homestead, FL making it the first African American owned construction company to have built a Burger King restaurant.
